Friends and Family Giving Campaign

For the past 17 years FC Frederick has held its primary club fundraiser – the Winter Gala – during this time of year to support Club initiatives and the Bartholows Road project. Many of you have attended the Gala, helped with sponsorships, donated silent auction items, or created amazing gift baskets! Unfortunately, we had to suspend the Gala this year for the safety of everyone due to COVID 19. However, our need to fundraise remains vitally important, so we are excited to announce our new FC Frederick “Friends and Family” Giving Campaign! We need your help to make it the most successful fundraiser in Club history!

Here is how it works. We are asking each player in the club to provide a minimum of 10 names and mailing addresses of relatives and close friends that support your player and would consider supporting the Bartholows Road project, which WILL result in an enhanced playing experience and true Club home for all of our players. The success of this campaign lies primarily on our parents and in the number and quality of the names provided, so we are counting on everyone to deliver solid contacts.

Please have your player(s) enter the (10) names and addresses of their contacts on our online link, www.fundraise4u.net/mylist by Sunday, February 14th. In late February, Chuck Hommey from FC Frederick will lead the letter-signing process. On ‘Signing Day’ we will distribute your player’s ten printed letters to them, along with mailing envelopes and return address envelopes. We ask that they bring a blue pen and stamps for their letters.

After hand-addressing each of their mailing envelopes, the players will write ten (short) personal notes at the base of each form letter (yes, we can help them with that), fold the letters and insert them (along with a business reply envelope) into the mailing envelope, then seal and stamp their letters. These letters will then be mailed to the ten names from your player’s contact list. This entire process will take each player about 60 minutes to complete from start to finish.
